The UK NICE home-monitoring routine

Why is the home range lower than at the GP surgery?
Readings at home tend to be lower than those taken at a GP surgery, so the European guideline starts hypertension at 135/85 at home and 140/90 at the surgery. The US option shows AHA/ACC blood pressure categories, not a separate home diagnostic table. Home diagnostic thresholds and treatment targets can differ. This page averages home readings.
